This work is an exploration of the raw, unseen energies that move beneath the surface of our perceived reality. Using dense, tactile layers of acrylic and molding paste, I’ve sought to translate the physical sensation of heat and pressure into visual form.The dominant crimson veins represent a 'pulse'—a life force or geothermal heat—striking through depths of cooler teal and obsidian. My process is one of both addition and excavation; I build the surface up only to scrape back through the layers, mirroring the way time and natural forces erode the earth to reveal the history hidden underneath. For me, this painting captures a moment of intense transformation where the chaotic and the grounded finally meet.
